Madelyn B. Wyant Bartholf, 71, of 168 Jefferson Ave., Lower Burrell, died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday (May 14, 1994) in her home. Born Dec. 27, 1922 in Kittanning, she moved to New Kensington during her childhood. She graduated from New Kensington High School in 1940 and was also a graduate of New Kensington Beauty Academy. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Kenneth C. Bartholf; a son, Larry C. Barthof of Dallas; three daughters, Cheryl L. Barthof of lower Burrell, Mrs. Larry (Sue E.) Peoples of Winterville, N.C., and Jayne A. Barthof of New Kensington; three grandchildren; a brother, Robert Wyant of New Kensington; and a sister, Mrs. Russell (Edna) Shalkowski of New Kensington. She was preceded in death by her parents, David R. and Florence Ritchey Wyant. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., a Golden Rule and Forethought Member, 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Officiating will be the Rev. Hudson Celments, pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church, Arnold. Burial will follow in Kittanning Cemetery.

Mrs. Bartholf a home maker, was born December 27, 1922 in Kittanning, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania the daughter of David R. Wyant and Florence Ritchey. She is survived by her husband Kenneth C. Bartholf. Arrangements were in charge of the Ross G. Walker Funeral Home LTD, of 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, Pennsylvania 15068. Interment was made Monday, May 16, 1994 in Kittanning Cemetery.
