"SIMON CLEMENS DIES THURSDAY
"HENNEPIN - Simon Peter Clemens, 88, died Thursday at noon in St. Margaret's hospital, Spring Valley, where he had been a patient since Saturday. He had been in failing health for several years.
"Born in Hennepin township, July 24, 1857, the son of Henry and Julia Ann Clemens, he was the last of a family of six.
"He was married to Miss Ora Regniold of Hennepin township, Feb. 15, 1887, and three children were born to this union, one son, Clarence, preceding him in death nine years ago. Surviving are the widow, one son, Ivan of Chicago, a daughter, Vera at home, and five grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Dysart funeral home, Granville, with the Rev. John Howlett of the Granville Congregational church in charge. Burial will be in the Florid cemetery.
