Cornelia "Connie" Rich, 89, of Northview Estates, Ellwood City, formerly of Fairview Avenue, New Castle died the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, in Northview Estates.
Born July 10, 1916, in Ellwood City, she was a daughter of the late John D. and Ann Lynn Wiegel Hayden.
She married Sim Wally Rich on Sept. 15, 1967. He died March 9, 1994.
Mrs. Rich was retired from the quality control department of Ellwood Works of U.S. Steel Corp. where she had 33 years of service.
She was a member of St. Vitus Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Patricia Rossman of Ellwood City and Frances Boyd of Sandy Lake.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Leota Shaffer, Kay McIntyre, Martha Welling and Alice Catherine Hayden and four brothers, John D. Hayden, Jesse Hayden, William Hayden and Michael Hayden.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday for St. Vitus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev. John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
