Kathy Borrego-Archuleta passed away at the family home. Kathy was predeceased by paternal grandparents Nieves Fernandez and Pete Lucero, Adriana and Elena Borrego. Kathy was survived by her husband, Jerry Archuleta; children, Jerry Salazar and fiancé, Jessica James; Daniel Salazar and partner, George Menzor; and Rosana and husband, Darron Garcia; her God Children Nevaeh Duran, Jamal Cunningham and Julian Vaughan; her parents, Rose Lucero; Bobby Borrego and long time companion Marcella Garcia; her parents-in-law, Bernardo and Ida Archuleta; sisters, Carmela and husband Walter Quintana and Liz Tuggle; brother, Michael and wife Debra Borrego; Step-siblings Zelda Garcia, Laverne Garcia and Claudette Garcia and deceased brother Ronnie Garcia their children; her grandchildren Michael Salazar, Ariana Salazar, Shontelle Salazar, Tyler James-Gutierrez Nevaeh Duran, and DeeAna Garica; Sisters-in-law Virginia and husband Juan O. Lopez, Rosita Archuleta and companion Ostalio Archuleta and Brother-in-law Bernardo Archuleta and companion Kari Stags and the immediate Archuleta Family; many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews; and Family Friends. Kathy was full of life and helped those in need, especially during community functions.

Public visitation was 11 May 2010 at the Victory Faith Church in Española followed by a devotional service with Pastor JD Miera presiding over the celebration of her life. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on 12 May 2010 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. Burial followed at the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Abiquiu. Pallbearers: Leroy Lopez, Joel Martinez, Eric Lucero, Chris Herrera, Ross Duran, and Bernie Archuleta.
