Joseph Byron Dear, 75, of 2632 Quincy St., died yesterday in St. Charles Hospital after a 2-month illness. Mr. Dear, born in Lacarne and a Toledo resident most of his life, was a retired fireman for the Shaw-Kendall Engineering Co. Surviving are his wife, Etta; son, William, Toledo; daughter Mrs. Leola Baker, Phoenix Ariz.; brother Lyman, Toledo; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Parks Mortuary. Burial will be in North Oregon Cemetery.
