Arthur was the youngest son of George and Jane Linkletter Sharp. He was born and raised on Prince Edward Island and was working as a tailor by the age of 21.
After moving to the Rossland BC area, he met and married Nellie Whiting, an American, on Dec. 28, 1898. They had one son.
He immigrated to the Seattle WA area with his family about 1902. He again worked as a tailor, before becoming a partner in a tailor shop. By By 1911, Arthur had his own tailor shop on 3rd Ave in Seattle.
Arthur passed away rather suddenly at the age of 43.
