Jesse Patton Dies

Jesse S.Patton, 423 Rural St., a retried Santa Fe Railroad telegrapher, died Friday evening i Newman Memorial County Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev.J. Joyce Wilson, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Patton, whose parents were Anderson C. and Mary Eckert Patton, was born March 11th, 1890, in Arrington, and he was married to Anna Green on Dec. 16th, 1909, in Mayetta. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and he was a member, and former president of the local chapter of the Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees. Mr. PAtton was preceded indath by one daughter, Marjorie Oakey, one brother, Henry, one sister, Nora Walker, and one grandson, Brain Oakey. He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Thelma) Lupfer, Spokane, Wash., and Perl C. (Geraldine) Walker, Alva, Okla.; one brother, Boyd, of Holton; two sisters, Mrs. C.F. (Susie) Jones, Dennison, and Mrs. Robert (Anna) Hale, Independence, Mo., six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
