Dec 30, 2021 working with Jason Layton who believes he is a descendant.

Ibelieves he was married to Amanda Keiser, abt 1808-1860. I have not found a memorial for Amanda on FindaGrave.

This Thomas Layton is possibly my 5th great grandfather but I have yet to prove it. Users report there is no tombstone to be found for this memorial but I believe he may be the husband of Susan Railey Young who lived in Kentucky in the 1800s.

Cemetery: Old Episcopal Burial Ground

I called Christ Church Episcopal who may still own the cemetery but they are closed until Jan 4.

"In 1848 it is noted that many of the bodies that were initially buried at this site were "re-interred" in the newest cemetery, but to their dismay their original headstones were left behind. The re-interring came to a halt in 1870, and no grave has been disturbed since..."

I'm not sure how to look this up. If you have a copy you'd be helping me a great deal. For example would the deed be for Old Episcopal or for the original Lexington cemetery it was moved from? Otherwise I am assuming I should reach out to the church itself or the Fayette county or Lexington city courts. But this may be a private company record.
