Van Alstyne - Funeral serices will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church here for Mrs. Myrtle Irene Bloss of Abilene, formerly of Van Alstyne, who died Wednesday in Abilene.
Rev. James Coffey, pastor of the church, and Rev. Pete Robertson, Methodist minister, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Holloway Cemetery, directed by Flesher Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bloss was born June 6, 1909, in Ripley, Miss., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Blythe. She was the wife of O.C. Bloss. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors besides her husband and mother, Mrs. J. H. Blythe of Howe, are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Louise Clayton of Houston; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer Blythe of Denison, Leonard Blythe of Van Alstyne and Homer Blythe of Sherman; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Austin of Gunter and Mrs. Opal Anderson of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
