employee Sheller Globe Corp., died Wednesday evening at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Wayne following an extended illness.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Unit 211 and D.A.V. No.24, both of Portland, and attended the First Baptist Church of Portland.
Born July 24, 1914 in Salamonia, he was the son of Clem and Nancy (Petry) McKinley. He was married March 27, 1948, to Nazimova Hastings, who died Jan. 28, 1980
Surviving are one son, John B. McKinley, Portland; and five sisters, Mrs. Cora Duggan, RR2, Mrs. Cecil (Dessie) Boyd, and Mrs. Ruby Huey, all of Portland, and Mrs. Mary Jellison, Fort Wayne.
Friends may call the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. The Family will be present at the funeral home ferom 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. American Legion Unit 211,Portland will conduct graveside rites. Memorial may be made to the Jay County Cancer fund.
