Mrs. Adams was born November 25, 1905 in Twiggs County to the late Jack Shine and Susie Johnson Vaughn. Mrs. Adams had lived in Dublin almost all of her life. She was one of the former vice presidents of Adams Funeral Home with her late husband, Cordie Homer Adams, the original founder and owner of Adams Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cordie Homer Adams, and a son, Gerald C. Adams Sr. She died Friday morning at a local nursing home after an extended illness.
Survivors include one grandson, Gerald C. Adams Jr. and wife Emily of Dublin; her daughter-in-law, Ellen B. Adams of Dublin; one great-great-grandson, David B. Adams of Dublin; and several half brothers in Twiggs County.
