TOWN CREEK -- The funeral for William "Bill" Pitt Tolbert, 59, Main St., will be at 1 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home chapel, Sheffield, with the Rev. Benny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Town Creek.
He died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1992, in Town Creek.
He was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County, employed at the TVA Service Shop before his retirement, veteran of the U.S. Air Force, member of Labor Local 366, Sheffield, and
a Baptist.
Survivors include his brother, David H. Tolbert, Leighton; sisters, Sadie Tolbert Agee, Susie Tolbert Thomas, both of Town Creek; nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Charles Agee, Ray Counts, Thomas Wayne Thompson, Ervin Nichols, Ronnie Terrell and Donald Purser.
