Dr. Augustine W. Tucker, a retired medical missionary to China, died Oct. 4 in Charlottesville, Va. He was a brother of Rt. Rev. Beverley D. Tucker, retired bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio. Dr. Tucker and his wife, Annie W. Cheshire, went to Shanghai, China in 1906 as a medical missionary under auspices of the Episcopal Church. He served there 30 years. During World War I, he served with the Red Cross in Siberia. Services were in Charlottesville. Burial was in the cemetery of the University of Virginia.
