Mrs. Hazel I. (Boyea) Heywood, 68, of 743 Suffield St., Agawam, died Tuesday [1 July 1969 age 68] at Mercy Hospital. Born in Keene, N.H., May 18, 1901, she was an Agawam resident for over 20 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and a past president of the Agawam Women's Club. She was employed as a clerk at Haynes Department Store, until retiring in 1965. She is survived by her husband, Ralph M. Heywood; three sons, Ralph E. of Westfield; Ronald G. of Springfield and Roger W. of Agawam, and three sisters, Mrs. Ada Shirling of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Nellie Raymond of St. Simons, Ga., and Mrs. Mary Bushey of Waltham. The funeral will be Saturday at Curran Jones funeral home with a requiem high Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will be in Agawam Center Cemetery.
