William Baker, retired farmer and lifelong resident of Hampshire, died at his home in the Kane county community at 1:45 o'clock this morning following an extended illness. He was born in Hampshire October 4, 1856. Besides the widow, Lizzie Baker, he is survived by a daughter, Miss. Leone Baker; a brother, Harrison Baker of Clyde Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. E.W. Wolaver of Elgin.
Funeral services will be held from the late home Friday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Charles Catholic church in Hampshire. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic cemetery, Hampshire.
