Jacob Baker, 81, years old, a native of Hampshire, and a brother to Mrs. Edwin Wolaver, of Elgin, died at the home of his son, Albert Baker, in Genoa at 4:06 yesterday morning of infirmities incident to old age.

Mr. Baker was born in Hampshire on October 8, 1849, and lived in that vicinity the greater part of his life. He went to Genoa in 1927 where he resided until his death. He married Miss Catherine Bowman (August 8, 1870 Kane co. IL ) five children, four sons and one daughter being born to them.

He is survived by four sons, Albert, Edwin and Blain of Genoa; Henry, of Wisconsin, and one daughter, Mrs. Cora Hewitt of Auburn, Wisconsin; two brothers, Harrison of Clyde Ohio, and William of Hampshire, and his sister, Mrs. Wolaver.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from Salter's chapel. Interment will be in the North Hampshire Cemetery (Hampshire Center Cemetery)
