The Danville native lived most of his life in Fort Wayne. He retired in 1966 from Interanational Harvester Co. after 42 years. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy P.; daughters Patricia Gerke of Avilla, Eunice Wilson of Memphis, Tenn., and Dorothy McClymonds of Fort Wayne; son Samuel P. of Greenville, S.C.; sister Bernice Hoover of Coldwater, Mich.; 10 grandchilren; and 17 great-granchildren.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Calvary United Methodist Church. Calling is 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Klaehn's South Anthony Chapel, 5700 S. Anthony Blvd. Burial will be in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are gifts to the church.
