BEDFORD -- Olen Lee Robertson, 52, 621 14th st., Bedford, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday at Bedford Medical Center after a 5 day illness.
A native of Monroe County, he was born Aug 12, 1928, to Jason and Sara Lula (Duncan) Robertson. He was an Employee of Bloomington Crushed Stone Company.
Surviving are his mother, a brother Harley of Bedford, and four sisters, Hurley Walls of Bedford, Sherry Robertson of Bedford, Mrs. Vena May Pilpot of Switz City and Shirley Fry of Seymour.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, with the Rev. Herman Coffey officiating.
Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 o'clock tonight.
In 1930 Fed Census Olen Robertson age 1 yr 8 mo. is living in the home of William P. Martin in Washington, Monroe County, IN.
He does not ever appear in the home of his father, Jason Robertson 1930 or 1940 census.
His brother, Harley Robertson stated that Olen was accidentally shot in the stomach with a gun that they were handling. He died of pneumococcal sepsis and septic shock.
