Oren Wayne loved his family and the Lord dearly. He was baptized into Christ in 1991 and was very active in the Church of Christ on Wallace Street in Lufkin, Texas where he attended for 30 years. He worked from a very early age and at the age of 16, Oren traveled and saw the United States selling magazines door to door. During his lifetime he held various jobs and spent most of his years as a mechanic in his own business, "Berea Garage". He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Oren is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Agnes Elizabeth "Beth" Sanders Caldwell; son, Vaden Caldwell and wife, Polly, daughter, Elizabeth Caldwell and husband, James; grandchildren, Haley and Zach Seils, Alexandrea McCoy, Brook De La Fuente and husband, Francisco, Holly Caldwell, Blake McCoy; great-grandchildren: Genesis De La Fuente, Noah De La Fuente, Abigail Grady, Nathaniel Grady; brother, Weymon Caldwell and wife, Nina; brother-In-Law, Lloyd Farris and wife, Janice; sisters, Valeria Goodrum; sisters-in-laws, Shirley Caldwell, Anna Caldwell and numerous other nephews, nieces, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Jim" and Nettie Caldwell; daughter, Lanora Faye Caldwell; brothers, Sammie Caldwell, Homer Caldwell, Vaden Caldwell, Jack Caldwell, Mack Caldwell; sisters, Jimmie Weir, Reba King, Shirley Thompson; brothers-in-law, Glenn Sanders, Rudolph Durdin, Grady Weir, Wallace Wollgast, Gainer Hightower, Kerney Thompson, Jessie King, Leon Goodrum; sisters-in-law, Nora Farris, Judy Caldwell, and Betty Sanders.
Graveside services for Oren Wayne Caldwell will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Weldon Cemetery in Weldon, Texas, with Jerry Martin officiating. Pallbearers are Fletcher Friday, Darrell Weir, Roland Goodrum, Hollis Caldwell, Billy Hightower, Richard Caldwell, Sr., Jessie King and Mark Caldwell.
