Charles Henry Beal, II was born to Esten Lesley Beal and Calista Della Alley Beal on Beal's Island, Maine. On 01 Apr 1939, Charles married Leila Ellen Lenfestey, daughter of Charels Merrill Lenfestey and Greta Majorie Beal of Beals, Maine. Charles and Leila had two sons, Farrell and Luther Beal. Charles and Leila were married for 64 years and she predeceased Charles. Charles worked for/with his grandfather Charles Henry Beal I and was a fisherman most of his life. He served as Town Selectman for many years and was instrumental the building of the bridge that connects Jonesport and Beals Island. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with buddies, camping on Slate Island, and coyote trapping. He was an historian and a story teller, enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. Charles left many loving friends and family.

The Family of Charles Henry Beal I was originally noted to be interred in the Beals Village Cemetery. However, Chris Gilbert discovered that this was not so, and kindly set up the appropriately named Cemetery on Find A Grave.
