Born in Saltville, Washington County Virginia (Now Smyth County). Her grandparents were Thomas Edmiston Dunn and Caledonia V. Sanders Dunn. She was raised by her father and stepmother (Mattie May Gookin Dunn).

Georgie was an independent woman who attended Bristol Business College in Tennessee and held secretarial jobs. She did not have children but is remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews as a kind and generous aunt who encouraged education. She was also known for the wonderful care packages that she sent which always included a drink mix similar to Ovaltine.
Georgie was very close to Ann and May Buchanan-Dunn although we may never know their exact relation. She lived many places including New York. The family does not recall any information about Mr. Gorsline.

Georgie's brother Lynch Sanders Dunn

Emma Leta Dunn Ryburn

Ann, May and Georgann were all very close. They lived and worked together on and off over the years.
