Mrs Bettie Sue (Haggard) Ropp 78,of Deer Creek died at 12:15 a.m.sunday in the Blackwell General Hospital.She was ammited Thursday. Funeral Services at 2 p.m.Wednesday in the First Christian Church in Deer Creek.
Grandsons will be pallbearers and burial will be in Mt .Olive cemetery Nardin Oklahoma.
The body will lie in state at the Barr Funeral Home untill 10:a.m. Wednsday and will be in state at the Deer Creek from 10:30 untill 1:p.m.
Before coming to Deer Creek 9 years ago Mrs Ropp and her husband had lived in Dewey Oklahoma for 50 years.
There she was a member of Christian Church and was a charter member Rebekah lodge .
she was born Jan.16,1891 to Elija O Haggard .and Martha O (Owens) Haggard in Sweet Springs.mo.
She married Walter Ross Ropp on April 13 1910 at Independence Kansas. The couple would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on April 13th.
In addition to her husband she is survived by seven sons Edward Ropp of Dewey oklahoma Walter Ropp jr,of Deer Creek:Ray Ross Ropp and Henery Ropp of Bartlesville Oklahoma: George Ropp and Carl Ropp both of Dewey Oklahona: and John Ropp Sr of Blackwell Oklahoma:and one daughter ,Mrs Florence Jackson of Bartlesville Oklahoma :24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and a sister ,Mrs Oran Watson of Van Nuys,Calif She was proceeded in death by her parents and one son William O Ropp Two daugthers Bettie Mae Ropp and Martha Jane Ropp.
