Ruby Meadows Graham, 89, of Vevay and Carrollton, Ky., died Monday, May 3, 2010, at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, Ky.

She was born April 26, 1921, in English, Ky., the daughter of Andrew and Ida McQueen Patton. She retired from the U.S. Shoe factory in Vevay after 24 years of service. She was a member of English Baptist Church, the Vevay Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5396 Ladies Auxiliary. She was very active with the VFW and held several positions. She was also a member of the Vevay Post of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Cooties in Vevay.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Sue Hartman of Carrollton, Ky.; three sons, Bennie Wayne Meadows, Steve Meadows and Ronnie Meadows, all of Carrollton, Ky.; two step sons, Steve Graham of Hanover and Jason Graham of Ashland, Ky.; one sister, Dora Patton Maiden of Carrollton, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benny Meadows, who died in 1980; her second husband, Loren Graham, who died in 2000; one daughter, Oueda Johnson; her parents; four half sisters, Mini Carpenter, Ruth Patton, Callie Felabaum and Clara Patton; and six half brothers, John, Joe, L.D., Shirley and Marvin Lee Patton and Paul Johnson.

The funeral was at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, Ky. Burial was in English Cemetery in Carrollton, Ky.
