Mr. Franklin M. Fleagle, 60, of Falling Waters, WV, formerly of Thurmont, died Thursday, Oct. 2 at the Martinsburg Veterans Center.

Born in Thurmont, he was a son of the late Gilbert P. and Elizabeth K. Wlreman Fleagle.

Mr. Fleagle was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Marines, and was employed as a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Helen M. Vaughn Fleagle, two daughters, Mrs. Margaret C. Clem and Mrs. Joyce L.Wantz, both of Thurmont; two sons, Frank M. Fleagle of Rocky Ridge, and Robert E. Fleagle. Creagerstown; three sisters, Aliene Alexander, Shady Grove.Pa.; Ethel Jackson, Woodsboro, and Mrs. Rose Lynn. Thurmont; two brothers, David Fleagle, Fort Myers Beach, FL; George Fleagle, Thurmont; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Oct. 4, at the Thurmont Funera! Home of Robert E. Dailey and Son, 615 E. Main SL, where services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3. The Rev. Carol Yocum will officiate. Interment will be in the Weller United Methodist Cemetery, Thurmont.
