Son of John and Sarah (Carney) Anderson.

Revolutionary War Vet. He is listed on the Texas Roll of Patriots as 1 of the 46 Revolutionary War heroes buried in Texas.

1795 Represented Warren County,KY in the State Legislature in 1800–02.

1805 Living in Indiana. Anderson Township in Warrick County, Indiana, was named to Honor BAILEY ANDERSON, SR.

1816 Migrated to Texas with a large ANDERSON Family group. His wife, Mary died and was buried on the shore of the Mississippi River.

1821 Living in the Ayish Bayou District of Texas.

His Granddaughter MARANA ANDERSON married EMORY RAINS in 1822.

A historical marker was dedicated to BAILEY ANDERSON, Sr. on June 1, 1975.
