Lorenzo D. Earp lost a bastardy suit in which it was alleged that he had fathered a male child (Burgess) by Lucinda Faught (a single woman). He was orderd to pay $15 a year for ten years for maintenance of the boy - Ohio Co. KY Order Book 5 pages 315-318, 323, 328, 331, 415, 419, 426, and Order Book 6 pages 6, 11 - 4 Nov 1839 to 2 May 1842 (Commonwealth vs Lorenzo Earp).
