Alfred "Fred" Castellani, 72, of 5835 Reis Drive,Cicero,died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.
He was born in Syracuse. He retired in 1968 as a dockworker for Motor Freight Express, Syracuse. He was a life member and former commander of James E. Spire Post 787, American Legion; a life member of the Korean War Veterans Association and the South Shore Rod & Gun Club; and a member of the 40 & 8 Club and the Cicero Cemetery Association board of directors. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
His wife, Mildred, died in 1996.
Survivors: Two daughters, Diane Ferris of Rome and Karen David of Cicero; a sister, Emma Wreight of Liverpool, a brother, Joseph of Florida; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home. Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 8631 S. Main St., Syracuse.
