Omer Sevier Fowler, 93, of Huntsville, died April 10, 2004, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville. He was born July 7, 1910, at Truth, Ark., the son of Solomon Clark and Dovie Page Fowler. He was a farmer and had been an employee of the Madison County Road and Bridge Department for 10 years before serving as Madison County Assessor for 12 years. He had served over 25 years on the Madison County Election Commission and had been involved in the Democratic party for over 70 years.

Survivors include: his wile, Erma Stroud Fowler of the home, whom he married on Nov. 22. 1931; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jack Robertson of Huntsville; two sisters, Lucille Boatright of Huntsville and Cora Bolinger of Buffalo, Wy.; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Jeffrey Robertson and David and Roseann Bowlin, all of Huntsville; one great-grandson and great-granddaughter-in-law, Brant and Joanna Chenoweth with the United Slates Army in Baghdad. Iraq; five great-granddaughters, Melissa Chenoweth of Siloam Springs, Erin Bowlin, Lindsey Bowlin and Jeanann Watson, all of Huntsville, and Ashley Robertson of Elkins; and one great-great-grandson, Tristan Barnard of Siloam Springs.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.

Pallbearers were Buck Ham, Freddie Ficht, Jeffrey Robertson, Gerry Cartmell, Gary Phillips and Ron Bolinger. Honorary pallbearers were Chester Harwood, Howard Bolinger, Charles McConnell and Eugene Phillips.
