D/O Jared & Hannah Hulbert. W/O Theophilus Ames. They were married 10/14/1852 and had 5 children: James, Orville Wilbur, Mary, Oliver & Charles Theophilus. Theophilus, Phebe and one son, Oliver, all died of typhoid fever in 1864. Guardianship of the 4 surviving children was granted to Phebe's father Jared Hulbert on 21 July, 1864. Son/grandson James died of pneumonia while he was a teen.
