Charles was born in Greenwich, Ohio on Setp. 21, 1875, the third of eight children of Daniel Webster & Jane Elizabeth (Hopkins) Flory.
He lived in Fairview, KS as a young child and returned to Greenwich with his family. He was 30 when he married Augusta Baker, she was 32, on June 5, 1906 in Wakeman, OH and they had three sons, LeRoy, who died as a toddler, Lawrence and Charles.
The family lived in Plymouth for awhile and then moved to Ashland where Charles was a chiropodist and barber. They were members of the Methodist church.
He died March 29, 1916 following a serious operation at the age of 40 years and six months and is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lot 222, in Greenwich, Ohio along with his wife Gussie who passed away on July 11, 1965 in Norwalk, OH.

CHARLES M. FLORY died at hospital last Wednesday afternoon, March 29, 1916. Following a serious operation at Samaritan Hospital on the preceding Sunday, Charles M. Flory, Ashland chiropodist and barber, died last Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., death being hastened by pneumonia which set in following the operation. The deceased was 40 years and 6 months and was born at Greenwich, Ohio.
Mr. Flory moved here about a year ago from Plymouth with his wife and two small sons, Lawrence and Charles Ronald, all of whom still survive. He had worked up a successful business in the practice of his profession as a chiropodist and was also employed at the Fasig Barber shop on Center St.
The deceased leaves besides his wife and two children, two sisters, Alice, a school teacher at Marion, Geneva of Cleveland and a brother Berlin S. Flory of Akron. He was a member of the Methodist Church and of W.D. Stenis Bible class, and in Ashland had formed a large acquaintanceship and many close friends.
After short services at the home on Vesper Street last Thursday morning conducted by Rev. A. D. Mink, the body was taken to Greenwich where final services and burial were held Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Flory and children will move to Greenwich where they will make their home with her parents.

Informant was Jos. Shaver of 242 Vine St. He listed Charles was born in Greenwich, Ohio on Sept. 21, 1875. His father was Daniel Flory and mother Jane Hopkins. Interment was March 31, 1919 in Greenwich, OH.
