William Edwin Arflack, 87, of Marion died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Crittenden Hospital.

He was a retired rural mail carrier and a member and deacon of Marion Baptist Church. Arflack was a U.S. Army Air World War II veteran. He was a member of the Bingham Lodge #256 F&AM and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include his wife, Willa Belle Arflack of Marion; a daughter, Mary Jo Delaney of Louisville; a son, Donald Arflack of Marion; brother, George E. Arflack of Lexington, Ky., and sisters, Virgie Reisinger of Lexington, Ky., and Grace Blair, Owensboro, Ky.; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Deedie Brantley Arflack; a son, William Ray Arflack; three brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services were Friday, April 3 at Marion Baptist Church. Burial was at the Mapleview Cemetery.
