Carl Raymond Hayes, 75, of Route 1, Huntsville, died March 6 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born November 7, 1901, the son of George Patrick and Mattie Mitchell Hayes, he was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maggie Boyd Hayes of the home; three sons, Raymond Hayes, Rogers, George Hayes, Rota, Spain, and Rex E. Hayes of Springdale; one brother, Howard Hayes, Huntsville; one sister, Mrs. Lewis (Mary) Horton, of Huntsville; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 8, at 2 p.m. in the Brashears Chapel with the Rev. Harold DuVall and the Rev. Clarence Tice officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Parker, J. B. Parker, Elroy Clark, James Hayes, William Smelley and Arvis McCoy.
