Benjamin Foster Spicer was born on February 3, 1884, the third child of Aldine Evans Fanellen Spicer and Virginia Lucy Ann Blanton. Ben's World War I draft registration describes him as tall, slender, brown eyes and black hair. He was a retired farmer. He married Dollie Bodine on December 23, 1909 in Randolph, Fannin County, Texas and to their union ten children were born. Their children are Edwin Algernon, Edgar Herlen, James Lee, Mildred Bea, Benjamin Foster Jr., Leslie Earl, un-named infant daughter, Carlene, Marion Junior "M.J.", and Kathryn Ruth Spicer. Benjamin died at his home in Bokchito, Bryan County, Oklahoma of a heart attack.
