Thomas PARKER was born in 1814 in Georgia to:
• James PARKER Sr., who was born in North Carolina between 1780 and 1790 and died in 1843 in Screven County, &
• his first wife, whose name is unknown, who is believed to have been born in Georgia. James PARKER Sr. married secondly
• Elizabeth SASSER (born 1790-1800, died by 1848), and with his two wives James PARKER Sr. is thought to have had 22 children. Most of these children had large families of their own, and by 1880, there were many PARKERs farming their own land throughout the 80th District of Screven County. Thomas PARKER was a Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1843-1844.
