Mathew Parker was born in 1820 in Screven County, Georgia to James and Polly Everton Parker.He married Martha Waters on February 7, 1839. They had 11 children in 21 years: Hardy 1840-1878, Israel 1841-1904, John born 1845, Frances 1846-1904, Mary born 1847, Green 1848-1860, Michael 1849-1926, Reuben born 1852,Millard F. 1856-1892, Henry James (Jim) 1858-1915, and Mathew Lafayette (Fate) 1861-1905. Mathew Parker was a justice of the peace who joined in marriage many couples in Screven County during at least the period 1847-1860. He died in 1863 in Screven County at the age of 43. Added by Patsy Parker Adams. Mathew Parker was my great great grandfather.
