Bertha Hoak, age 53.3.13 died on Friday [22 May 1931] at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital. w/o Victor Hoak of Fairview, Luray, Va. d/o David & Mrs. Phoebe Kibler Rowe. Uncle, Lewis C. Kibler, dec'd, of Kimball. Three brothers, Clifford Rowe of Fairview, James J. Rowe of Prince William Co., Va & Gilbert Rowe of Columbiana, Oh. Five married sisters are deceased: Mrs. J. A. Racer, Mrs. Joseph Racer, Mrs. J. L. Will, Mrs. Lemuel Bywaters & Mrs. Daisy Brown. Children, David, Emmett, Gilbert, Leona, Velma, Robert & Charles Hoak, Mrs. Bertie Dinges & Mrs. Sallie Foster. Several children are deceased. Interment in the Rowe Cemetery. (issue 26 May 1931)
