RENA HARMON

HOUSTON - Irene Estelle "Rena" Hatley Criddle Harmon, 92, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston. She was born March 5, 1915, in Lee County to Elvia Etta Guyton Hatley and John William Hatley. She was retired from Shannon Chair Company and a retired personal care giver. She was a member of the Fairview Church of God of Prophecy.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fairview Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Edwin Pharr, the Rev. Hal Johnson and the Rev. Phil Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include three daughters, Eva Criddle Doss and Jackie Harmon, both of Houston, and Jane Criddle Perkins (Johnny) of Hamilton; one son, Joseph E. "Joe" Criddle (Libba) of Houston; two sisters, Inez Elliott of Mooreville and Neomie Riley of Nettleton; one brother, J.D. Hatley (Helen) of Nettleton; eight grandchildren, Danny Doss, Mike Doss, Mark Doss, Randall Perkins, Rogers Criddle, Joey Criddle, Leann Doss, Karen Perkins Gaudet; 18 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John Ell Criddle and Jack Harmon; a sister, Lola Mae Hatley; three brothers, Wilburn Hatley, William Hatley and Lex Hatley; a grandchild, Janice Elaine Criddle; and a great-grandchild, Wendy Doss.

Pallbearers will be Danny Doss, Rogers Criddle, Joey Criddle, Mike Doss, Randall Perkins, Jonathan Doss, Mark Doss and Tony Doss.

Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday school class at the Bethany Church of God of Prophecy.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.houstonfuneralhomems.com.
