The community was shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. A. F. Shuey, on Christmas morning at her home in north Hamburg. She has not been in good health for sometime, but she was not considered in an alarming condition. She took suddenly ill during the night and lived but a few hours, passing away in the early morning hours.

Shuey, of Hamburg, was born November 11, 1860 in Davis County, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Hamburg, December 25, 1928, at the age of 68 years, one month and nine days. She was married to Mr. A. F. Shuey, December 28, 1878 and had lived in the state of Iowa all of her life. There were two children born in the family, Flora Bell Shuey, who later married J. B. Hupp of Council Bluffs, where they now live, and Freddie Shuey, who died September 24, 1903, at the age of 19 years.
