Harold E. Wineland, 95, Martinsburg, a community business leader and leading citizen in Martinsburg for many decades, died Sun., April 25 at Homewood at Martinsburg.
He was born in Martinsburg, to Jesse B. & Fannie L. (Ake) Wineland. He married Jane B. Bayle June 1, 1940, in Roaring Spring. Survived by wife at Homewood; sisters: Mabel Rhodes-Hollinger, Martinsburg & Freda L. Kirk, Patton; nieces & nephews. Predeceased by brother, Willis Wineland, Feb. 14, 1985. Mr. Wineland was a 1932 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg. He retired in 1980 as owner/operator of Wineland's IGA Foodliner, Martinsburg. He began his career when he assumed management of the family meat market in the 1940s and expanded it into a successful grocery and meat market enterprise. Bolger Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
