She was a 1965 graduate of Collins High School. She was employed as an administrative assistant for 25 years at the Iowa Department of Agriculture. She was a member of the Loring United Methodist Church and Freeland Carve Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed floweres, quilting and teaching Sunday School. She had been a Story and Polk county resident all of her life.
