He was born Dec. 1, 1927 in Tyler to the late Frank and Bessie Fojtik.
He was retired as an equipment operator after 26 years with Alcoa. He was a US Army WW II veteran.
He is survived by his daughters, sons, sisters, brother, 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Mary Lee Fojtik; son, David Fojtik; sisters, Annie Kocurek and Lillian Polensky; brothers, Frank and Louis Fojtik; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Slavik Funeral Home in Edna.
Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Edna.
