This baby was born while his father, Rev. Benjamin Franklin Blanton was away fighting in the civil war. His mother Sarah Lucretia Boone Blanton was staying with her parents in Randolph. When this baby died, she wanted him buried close to her so she could look after him, therefore, he was buried in the Randolph Cemetery.
