Ruth E. (Hess) Gladfelter, of Wellsville, died April 25, 2010, in York. She was the wife of the late Luther E. Gladfelter, who died in September 1994.
Born November 7, 1921, in Dublin Mills, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Ora (Park) Hess.
Mrs. Gladfelter was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in York, D.A.R., Col James Smith Chapter, York, and the Huntington Co. Historical Society.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Brenda C. Crook and husband Ron of Wellsville; two grandchildren, Kimberly L. Hitz and husband, Marc of Issaquah, WA, and Kenneth R. Crook II, and wife, Jennifer Murdoch of Wellsville; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Sheldon Hess of Ohio; and a sister, Helen Souders of Dublin Mills.
She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Grissinger.
Burial was in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
