WEST POINT --Anthony (Tony) Peitz, 70, West Point, died at 2:10 a.m. today in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison. He had been in failing health for some time
Mr. Peitz was born June 7, 1898, in Fort Madison. He was a lifelong resident of the West Point-Fort Madison area. He never married. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, West Point, and was a retired substitute rural mail carrier.
Surviving is a half-sister, Miss Bernadine Winnike, West Point.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's church, West Point. Msgr. J. A. Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
The body is at the Link Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 this evening. The parish rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 Monday evening.
