Joseph Fanning, an aged resident of Youngblood, died at the home of his daughter in Nortonville Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Deceased had been ill about four months of dropsy of the heart. He is survived by his widow and eight children, four daughters and four sons, namely, Abe, of Oklahoma, Vine, of California; Marty, of Pisgah; Sarah, Barbara and Robert Fanning, of Nortonville; John, of Scottville, and Joseph of Jacksonville.
The funeral took place this afternoon from the Baptist church in Nortonville in the presence of a large number of friends. Interment was in the cemetery near the church.
