Fowler, Nov. 14 - Mrs. Roland Rising died at her home Sunday morning of cancer. Funeral Tuesday at the Fowler Ridge Church. Burial at the Fowler Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Charles Fox of Cleveland officiated. Mrs. Rising leaves a husband and nine children to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother. She was 83 years old. (incorrect age)
Lucy A. Hall was born in Fowler, Ohio, March 23, 1829(incorrect, should be 1828), and died at her home in the same place Nov. 10 (incorrect Nov. 11), 1906 aged 77 years, 7 month and 17 days. On Jan. 3 1850, she was married to Roland Rising, with whom she was permitted to live for more than half a century, a privilege that comes to but few married people. To this union were born ten children, eight of whom are now living. She spent the whole of her life in Fowler with the exception of two years in Sharon, PA. She was a cheerful woman and tried to make others have sunshine in their lives. A good wife, a kind mother and a true friend is gone. She was laid to rest in the Fowler Ridge Cemetery (Fowler, Trumbull, OH) on Nov. 13.
