Ellyn's parents were Harry and Ethel (Robb) Villars.
She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1937. She then attended the Univ. of NE. Lincoln Nursing School program for one year. She later graduated from Nebraska Technical College School of Practical Nursing in 1970.
She was united in marriage to Dale S. Holden of Neola, IA. on Sept. 6, 1939. To this union, five daughters and one son was born.
They made their home in Tecumseh, NE. Dale passed away July 1968.
Ellyn was the first women to be elected to the Tecumseh City Council. She retired from the Johnson County Hospital after working there as a LPN for over 20 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, in Tecumseh.
She passed away at the Johnson County Hospital at the age of 86 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale S. Holden, Stillborn daughter, Elaine, son, James Scott, brothers, Robert Villars, and Dr. Charles Villars and sister-in-law, Virginia Villars.
Funeral services were held Nov. 14, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Tecumseh. Interment was in the Tecumseh Cemetery. Tecumseh, NE.
