Brief Illness Fatal for Nate H. Attig

Funeral sevices were held on Wednesday afternoon for Nathaniel H. Attig, 75, who died in a Longview hospital Saturday a few hours after he suffered a fatal attack.

Rev. R.L. Otto conducted the service in the local Methodist church, with the assistance of the Odd fellowd Lodge, with which the deceased had been associated since 1912. Mrs. Harold Hecker was the soloist and Mrs. paul hecker the organist.

Pall bearers were George and John Cowles, M.E. Whitbeck, Lester Stickler, Paul Hegli, and E.A. Carson.

Interment was at Green Mountain Cemetery under the direction of the J.B. Elbon Funeral Home.

Mr. Attig was born in Fairbury, Nebraska, July 27, 1879, and came to the Rainier community in 1906, from Hastings, Nebraska. He is survived by the widow, Esther; two sons, Albert of Scappoose, and Raymond of San Diego; one grandchild, Ronald Attig, San Diego; a sister, Katherine Allen, Fairbury, Neb.

Mr. Attig was grand master of the Odd Fellows lodge in 1917, had served as chaplain of Rainier lodge No. 151 for 25 years, and was also a 25 year member of the Rebekah lodge.
