Marian Joyce Brashears, 83, of Huntsville died April 4, 1995, at Meadowview Lodge in Huntsville. She was born July 16, 1911, at Saint Paul, Ark., the daughter of Bruce Sumner and Eva Mae Tucker Brashears. She graduated with a bachelor of arts and master of arts from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville was an emeritus assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Huntsville.

Survivors include one brother, Jack Brashears of Springdale; 11 nephews and nieces.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. James P. Fleming officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be A.L. Clark, Bryan Clark, WQ Hall, Gordon Campbell, Bruce Fred Brashears and Tom Pryor.
