In 1909, he was united in marriage to Miss Eva Bellomy. There were five daughters born to this union, all of whom survive.
Mr. Keeter engaged in ranching in Portales, NM for several years and then returned to Texas, living for three years in Breckenridge before moving to Olney.
A member of the Baptist church since he was 16 years of age, Mr. Keeter practiced the Golden Rule in his everyday living. He operated a filling station on the Graham highway.
Survived by his wife; five daughters - Mrs. Carl Leste; Miss Mona Keeter, Miss Dorothy Keeter, Miss Jo Dell Keeter and Jeff Rhea Keeter; four grandsons; three sisters - Mrs. Will Cagle, Mrs. Turner Martin, Mrs. J.W. Pruitt.
